Not since Jethro Tull have I enjoyed music with flute more! The Shuk's music is soulful with integrity. For me, I feel that it simultaneously holds on to tradition and looks for new expressions.

Once in a while a band comes along that has the ability to connect with it's audience in a way that cannot be described in words. For me, The Shuk re-energized my love for Jewish culture in a powerful way. I actually have their CD in my car right now and it always takes me to a spiritual place.

A True Blessing for all who see and hear | Anonymous
I have been to many a concert of Jewish/Middle Eastern Music and I can only say that I have never heard such a group as The Shuk. What they project on stage, whether I'm listening with my eyes closed or opened, I suddenly have such a feeling of spirited peace which comes across from their hearts to mine. I look at all the faces around me, and see similar reactions. Their ability to bring a crowd, of any age, up on their feet, or just swaying to the music, is a gift that they are blessed with and so too are we. If you have not had the fortune of seeing that "live", it truly is your loss. The world would be a better place if all could get the opportunity to share in their music and message.
I wish they would travel so much more, so that more could understand and feel what I'm attempting to describe in just a few words! -

A moving experience... | Anonymous
It is difficult to put words to the experience I had when I first saw the Shuk perform. It was moving, and so amazing to see those around me so engaged in the experience. Some were moved to tears. The Shuk is incredible, and special, and I look forward to the next time I am able to see them perform.

I ahve been to various types of preformances, summer camp, synagogue, community centers, The Shuk always make the prformance apropriate for the audiance. young and old, party type, to concert type to teaching type, and always a wonderful experience. excellent musicians. and alwasy FUN!
