Windsurfer Gal Fridman etched his name in Israeli sporting lore by becoming the first gold medal winner from the Jewish state. This all began at the young age of 7 when Gal first began sailing and he would begin participating in competitive racing at the age of 11. Fridman would go on to win a bronze medal in the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta before his gold in the 2004 Athens games.
